    I have the red light every three seconds and the green flashing light and so have ordered a new thermostat. It appears that the water is not heating at all now though the lights are still the same....

    Thank you for the reply. Not quire sure what that means though? So now my green light is flashing, is it imperative that the thermostat is changed as they are around a third of the price of a new b...

    My green light is flashing on a Thermor 281077. I understand this is a battery fault but you have to buy the complete thermostat. What do the batteries actually do?
