Can you please describe the difference in heating efficiency and responsiveness between the Thermor Equateur 3 (cast iron core) vs. the Ovation 3 (aluminium). I have an 86sqm apartment in Chamonix - winters get very cold (-20). Which radiator is more efficient and will quickly warm up my apartment? I prefer the slim-line design of the Ovation 3, but which radiator is best?

I will explain the difference between Equateur 3 and Ovation 3.
Equateur 3 with Iron Core has got a big inertia so you choose this radiator if you have a regular lifestyle.
Ovation 3 with aluminium core has got less inertia therefore more reactive compare to Equateur 3. We preconise the Ovation 3 for irregular lifestyle.
The two radiators have got presence/absence detector so they can be more reactive to heat or to lower the temperature when you are or you are not in the appartment.
For the appartment in Chamonix, I think that your lifestyle is irregular especially if you pratice ski at any time of the day. So, the Ovation 3 is the best choice for your appartment.
